Around NZ Air Seafari 2010
The Air Safari flies into Whitianga on Tuesday 23rd March 2010, for dinner & an overnight stay hosted by the Mercury Bay Aero Club.
The Air Safari starts on Tuesday the 23rd March 2010 from Ardmore Aerodrome, weaving its way through New Zealand, finishing on 1st April 2010 at Queenstown.
Up to 75 Aircraft will be flying in this great adventure with over 220 entrants. Join everyone at the Whitianga Aerodrome, our Charity Partner, Life Flight Trust Air Ambulance will have personnel there, meet the pilots, view the aeroplanes & helicopters & enjoy the spirit of the Air Safari.

The Dunes Challenge
This is the first Dunes Challenge for the year. These tournaments are held mid week and are very popular. They culminate in the final which is staged in November. The first installment is a nett competition with two divisions for the men and one for the women. There will be a shotgun start at 10.00am and the course will be closed for this day. |

Whitianga Scallop Festival
A weekend long celebration of Coromandel seafood and cuisine.
Tickets go on sale 01 May for the festival marquee which will be located on the Marina Reserve between 10am and 5pm Saturday. Over 60 food and wine stalls, cooking demo’s, loads of competitions and great entertainment! On Friday and Saturday nights Whitianga’s restaurants and café’s will be cooking up a storm and hosting some great entertainment too |
